Neighbourhood issues - mediation, anti-social behaviour

Anti-social behaviour logo

Most people want to live in good, peaceful neighbourhoods where people get along and there are no problems with litter, grafitti or anti-social behaviour. So how do we achieve that for everyone?

As well as the mediation service to resolve neighbour disputes, the Council has an anti-social behaviour team to investigate serious problems, community wardens patrolling in some areas and has stepped up efforts to clean up litter and graffiti. Complaints about anti-social behaviour or neighbour nuisance can be reported by calling our 24 hour hotline on 0800 389 1105

Many local groups and individuals get involved in initiatives like Beautiful Scotland in Bloom and the annual garden competition in which all contribute to improving their local environment. In partnership with the police, we have also set up joint Problem Solving Groups. These aim to take action to prevent and address anti-social behaviour.
