As well as dealing with gaming and liquor licensing, civic, trading standards and environmental health licensing, we are currently still responsible for some local district courts prior to the Scottish Courts Service taking over their control.

Environmental Health is responsible for issuing licences to businesses such as food premises, butchers, pet shops and riding establishments.
We are responsible for licences such as petroleum licences and if you are organising a procession you must give us at least 28 days notice.
