More about Local finder
You can use Local finder in a number of ways.
Firstly, you locate the area you are interested in. You can either do that by entering an address or simply point to the area on the map.
After choosing a location, Local finder can search for information specific to that location in three ways:
It can list information regarding local services including council offices, ward and MP information.
It can find the nearest facility of each type for that address - for example sports centres, libraries and recycling centres and give contact details where appropriate. We will be adding additional information - for example on local schools and the new council wards - over the months ahead.
Local finder can also list all the facilities that are within a specified distance of the location - for example it will show all the libraries within five kilometres.
