Fitness Programme

South Lanarkshire Leisure’s fitness class programme offers over 350 classes per week across many of its leisure centres. The class programmes offer you the opportunity to take part in lots of different types of classes from yoga and Tai Chi, to our Body Training System classes such as Body Combat and Body Pump. To ensure you get a safe, fun and effective workout, all our Fitness Instructors are all qualified members of the esteemed Register of Exercise Professionals.

South Lanarkshire Leisure runs an array of Body Training Systems (BTS) fitness classes. Our BTS Fitness Instructors are trained in the BTS routines and provided with exciting new music tracks every three months. This means the classes are constantly updated, but enough time is given to allow you to enjoy learning the routines and tracks. Below are details of you can expect from each BTS fitness class.

Body Attack

is a simple, high-intensity group exercise-to-music class that’s fully optioned to cater for all fitness levels.

Body Balance

is the yoga, tai chi and Pilates workout that leaves you feeling long, strong, centred and calm. It’s your personal 'time out'.

Body Combat

is a non-contact, martial arts-based fitness programme with moves drawn from karate, tae-kwon do, kung-fu, etc.

Body Vive

is the low-impact group fitness workout that lets you choose just how hard you work.

Body Jam

is an intoxicating pot-pourri of movement and music, where the emphasis is as much on having fun as breaking a sweat.

Body Pump

is a toning and conditioning class with weights and is for just about everybody. It’s perfect for both males and females.
