Leisure centres

South Lanarkshire Leisure manages over twenty leisure centres. Our centres vary, both in size and in the range of facilities they provide. Some of our leisure centres have swimming pools and health suites and others feature sports halls, gyms and fitness studios.

Some of our larger centres provide all of these facilities. Quality is not compromised in our leisure centres, many of which have been extensively refurbished. Find out what facilities and services are available at your local leisure centre by selecting from the menu on the left.

Dance mats at Carluke Leisure Centre

Dance mats are the latest exercise craze among children and young people. These individual floor mats are linked to a software game which is projected onto the wall. The game encourages you to step in time to high energy music. You follow the steps displayed on the wall by stepping on arrows on your individual dance mat. The mat detects each step and points are given for accurate and timely steps. The game improves coordination as well as fitness, but most importantly it is great fun! You can compete against the system, against one another, or just try to beat your own personal best.
