Disability Sport

South Lanarkshire aims to encourage and promote sport and physical activity among people with a disabilities in South Lanarkshire. Several programmes are in place in order to achieve this. Programmes are detailed below.

Supported by South Lanarkshire Council, South Lanarkshire Leisure organise a School of Sport where over eighty young people with various disabilities have the chance to attend a two day residential school of sport at Scotland's National Sports Centre. Wheelchair School of Sport

Every year, ten young people with physical and complex needs take part in a two day School of Sport at Scotland's National Sports Centre, Inverclyde. Supported by South Lanarkshire Council, the two days offer various sports suitable for wheelchair users including rebound therapy on the trampoline.
