Kirsty said: “I am absolutely delighted to have won the competition this year.
“I have come second place in Group 3 of the competition for the past two years so I’m over the moon at getting first prize this year.”
Chair of South Lanarkshire Council’s Roads Safety Forum, Councillor Graham Simpson, said: “Each year the standard of entries just seems to get better and better.
“It was very difficult to pick an overall winner but Kirsty’s design just had that extra eye catching appeal that ensured it was well deserving of this year’s award.
“During the judging process all the names are kept confidential so there is no way of knowing who has produced what design.
“I would like to thank every pupil in each school who took part in this year’s Calendar Competition.
“Their support and help ensures that the Road Safety Calendar Competition remains such a success.”
