Everyone is being urged to be a part of National Clean Air Day.
Air pollution is real and harms the health of millions. But we’re not powerless.
Today is the UK’s first-ever National Clean Air Day (Thursday 15 June). It is a chance to find out more about air pollution, share information with friends and colleagues, and take action to make the air cleaner and healthier for everyone.
And with so many charities, businesses, and people across the UK coming together to create cleaner air for everyone, it is hoped more people will also get involved today.
You can find expert advice on air pollution and ways to get involved at www.cleanairday.org.uk/scotland. There’s also tips on how you can make a difference and protect your health with simple actions, such as turning your car engine off when you’re stationary and walking on the inside of the pavement. Little-known facts like these can make a big difference, so take a look at all the things you can do to reduce and avoid air pollution.
A big part of National Clean Air Day is talking and joining forces to beat pollution together, so why not join in the conversation and help spread the word.
