Online services launched by the council

We have launched two new secure online services.

You can now check your council tax balance and, if you are a council tenant, check your rent account, no matter where you are, using a computer, tablet or smartphone.

This is a free and secure service which checks who you are and allows you to use one account to access a number of public services, including other councils and some NHS services.

All you need to register is an e-mail account, and once registered, you will be e-mailed your sign-in details.

Councillor Gladys Miller, the chair of the council’s Finance and Corporate Resources Committee, said: “Myaccount is an extremely handy and secure way to keep on track with your council tax bill and rent account. We will add more council services over time and will keep you informed of any changes.”

You can access myaccount from the top right corner on the home page of the council’s website
