The Play Talk Read campaign bus will be visiting South Lanarkshire next week.

Parents/carers and family members are welcome to come along to find out more about the benefits of play and reading to children.

These free events will provide information on how you can help support your child's learning at home in a fun and exciting way.

People who visit the bus will have the opportunity to browse and ask questions from staff who will also advise them of activities that are available in their area.

There will also be a bookbug session and play@home information on the bus which will be at the following places:

  • Thursday 12 January
    10am-12.30pm - Rigside Nursery
    1.30-5pm. - Blantyre ASDA
  • Friday 13 January

The events are part of a national road-show which is visiting all of Scotland's 32 local authorities as part of the next phase of the Scottish Government's Play, Talk, Read campaign which focuses on the early years of children's lives.
