Road works start on Lanark Road

Work gets underway on the A72 Lanark Road between Carlise Road and the Cornsilloch roundabout next week.
The work, which is a Route Action Plan involving a Health and Safety upgrade of the road, will start at 8am on Tuesday 28 September and will take approximately four weeks.
Improvements will include the installation of new bollards, marker posts and signage as well as an upgrade of the white lining, resurfacing certain areas and laying of an anti-skid surface on several bends.
To complete the works safely a convoy system will be put in place with traffic lights and a Stop/Go board system.
