Resurfacing work for Crawforddyke
Published Thursday, 26 July 2012
Several streets in Crawforddyke are to be closed for carriageway resurfacing work to be completed.
The work gets underway at 8am on Monday 30 July and is expected to last for up to nine days.
The roads that are affected are Beechfield Drive, Glencoe Road, Elmbank Street, Sauchiesmoor Road and Thornlead Road.
Each road will be closed alternatively as the work progresses with diversionary signage in place.
Advanced warning signs will be put up before each individual closure and local residents will be kept informed of the progress.
Councillor Chris Thompson, the chair of the council's Enterprise Resources Committee, said: "We apologise for any inconvenience caused but we have carefully programmed the resurfacing work over the school holidays when the roads are at their quietest.
"Please try to avoid this area but if you cannot then try and leave a little more time for your journey."
