The Child Protection Research Centre launched a guidance on reporting underage pregnancy and underage sex cases.  This report is circulated for information. 

You will see that the target audience for the report is journalists but the content is of wider interest.  The report neatly encapsulates the source of much of the prejudice against teenage girls which adds to the pressures on them not to disclose sexual abuse.  Some of the illustrations from well publicised cases are particularly instructive as much of this information giving a fuller background to the cases has not come to public attention.  The report is also a useful source of reference about relevant law in both Scotland and England and Wales.
