Keeping Kids Safe Online Campaign

Published: Friday, 26 March 2021

South Lanarkshire Child Protection Committee supports CPC Scotland Keeping Kids Safe Online Campaign.

Lockdown and long-lasting pandemic restrictions over the last year have resulted in many children and young people spending more time online than usual, increasing the risk that they might be targeted and exploited by online abusers. Keeping Kids Safe Online aims to encourage parents and carers to be curious and actively interested in what their children are doing online, and to learn how to help keep them safe from the dangers of online abuse or exploitation.

CPCScotland is continuing to repeat our core message that it’s always better to say something than do nothing. If you are worried about a child you should call Social Work Resources on 0303 123 1008 or Police Scotland on 101, or if a child is in immediate danger please call 999.
