Platinum Jubilee Awards
The Platinum Jubilee Awards will recognise residents of South Lanarkshire who have made an outstanding voluntary contribution to their communities during HM The Queen’s reign from 1952 to 2022.
A total of 12 awards will be made, three each across each of the four localities of Cambuslang/Rutherglen, Clydesdale, East Kilbride, and Hamilton:
- Young Platinum Jubilee Award
- Lifetime Achievement Platinum Jubilee Award
- Environment Platinum Jubilee Award
Winners will be selected by Elected Members from each local area. All 12 winners will receive a certificate and an overall winner will receive an engraved quaich.
Young Platinum Jubilee Award
This award recognises voluntary work that has benefitted South Lanarkshire communities undertaken by people aged 18 or under at the closing date of 14 July 2022.
Lifetime Achievement Platinum Jubilee Award
This award recognises voluntary work that has benefitted South Lanarkshire communities undertaken by individuals over a significant part of the reign of HM The Queen.
Environment Platinum Jubilee Award
This award recognises voluntary work which has enhanced the local environment and/or helped combat climate change.

Please use our online form to submit your nomination. You can attach additional information to support your nomination, such as testimonies. The closing date for nominations is Thursday 14 July 2022.
