Reopening of seasonal facilities

Reopening of seasonal facilities

SLLC seasonal facilities will begin to reopen in the coming weeks with a phased return of activities at each facility detailed below.

Strathaven Park

Public toilets

Strathaven Park reopened on Monday 26 April. Park users are asked to adhere to current government guidance when accessing toilets.

Tennis

Tennis courts have reopened for public use. Courts must be booked online here in advance with proof of purchase required to be shown to facility staff.

All tennis participants must follow current governing body guidance.

Miniature railway

The “wee train” run by volunteers at Strathaven Model Society restarted on Saturday 1 May. The miniature railway at Strathaven park is now the longest running miniature railway in Scotland. For further details including operating dates and times please visit: Strathaven Miniature Railway

Boating and putting

Boating and putting will be reintroduced as soon as possible.

Brancumhall recreation area

Pitch and putt

Brancumhall pitch and putt has reopened on weekends only. Tee times must be booked online here in advance with proof of purchase required to be shown to facility staff.

Golfers are encouraged to bring their own equipment and must adhere to current governing body guidance.

James Hamilton Heritage Park

Water sport activities at James Hamilton Heritage Park will return for the school summer holiday period. An exciting activity programme will be launched in May with information on activities available in the OLA price list.

Plans currently are ongoing to reintroduce open water swimming sessions along with water sport activities for school and organised groups. Fun craft activities will remain closed and reintroduced as soon as possible.
