Gas emergencies
If you smell gas or suspect a leak:
- call National Gas Emergency Service: 0800 111 999
- open windows and doors
- don’t switch on/off lights or appliances
- don't smoke or use matches or flames
- turn off the gas at the meter
- never try to fix gas appliances yourself
Heating emergencies
We aim to attend within 24 hours. If reported before 8.30pm, we aim to attend the same day. Times may be longer during severe weather or busy periods.
If you are elderly, frail or have a child under one, we can supply an electric heater.
