Consultation summaryThe Customer Involvement Strategy (formerly known at Tenant Participation Strategy) sets out how we’ll work with and involve our customers. The new strategy, the council's fourth, will cover the next four years to 2022. We recognise that customers are at the heart of our housing services and over the years we’ve taken significant steps to promote, support and develop participation across South Lanarkshire. Building on the strong foundations of our previous strategies the focus is on providing further opportunities to get more customers involved. The main goal is to maximise opportunities for customer involvement by building relationships with our customers and by increasing their participation in all aspects of our housing service delivery. ‘Customer’ refers to tenants, future tenants and other customers who use housing services and we are keen to hear their views.
BackgroundThe Council has a statutory duty to develop and implement a tenant participation strategy and to fully involve tenants in the preparation and implementation of the strategy.
