| Aims and Objectives | The Council will receive a funding allocation from the Scottish Government for temporary accommodation of £1.408m in 2017/18. This funding will mitigate the loss of rental income within the Homelessness service as a result of welfare reform changes. Due to the phased migration towards Universal Credit there will be an expected underspend in 2017/18 which can be used as a one off saving in 2018/19 of £0.300m. This budget will have to be reinstated in 2019/20. Management and staff within the service have been involved in the consultation process. |
| Conclusion | No negative impact has been identified. One-off saving in financial year 2017/18 which will be monitored to ensure savings target is met. This is a one-off saving as a result of the transition to Universal Credit in 2017/18, and not as a result of a cut to services. |
