Development plans
Development plan scheme
There are two development plan schemes that apply to this area:
- Glasgow and the Clyde Valley Strategic Development Plans Scheme, available from Glasgow and Clyde Valley Strategic Planning Authority
- South Lanarkshire development plan scheme
Each year the Council is required to prepare a Development Plan Scheme to set out our programme for preparing and reviewing Local development plans. This helps keep communities and interested parties updated on progress and outlines when the Council expects to reach the different stages in the process. The Development plan scheme 2019 was approved in February 2019.
For more information see Scottish Government - Planning. This explains the planning system. It covers national policies, advice and guidance, the appeals process, plus information on building regulations and standards.
