Dog fouling

If your dog fouls in the street and you don't clean it up you could be fined up to £500. If you are issued with a fixed penalty notice by the Community Wardens, the fine is £80, rising to £100 if not paid within 28 days.

If you want to report dog fouling or are looking for advice on how to keep your community clean, please call our Anti-Social behaviour team using the contact details shown.

If you know someone that doesn't clear up after their dog you should report the incident, providing times and places that the offences occurred, to our Anti-Social behaviour team using the contact details shown.

Littering

If you drop litter you could receive an on-the-spot fine of £80 from the Community Wardens, which if not paid could lead to a £2500 fine in court. To report litter or if you know of a persistent offender, you can call our Anti-Social behaviour team using the contact details shown.

See more on our Litter Strategy 2022-2027.
