Adaptation Strategy and Action Plan for Glasgow City Region
Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005 - Screening Determination under Section 8(1)
We are members of ‘Climate Ready Clyde’ which is a cross-sector initiative to create a shared vision, strategy and action plan for adapting Glasgow City Region. The strategy will seek to prepare Glasgow City Region from the impacts on society, the economy and the natural environment, arising from the climate crisis. The strategy is currently being developed and in accordance with Section 8(1) of the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005, Climate Ready Clyde has determined, in agreement with the Consultation Authorities, that the Strategy is likely to have significant environmental effects and that a Strategic Environmental Assessment is required.
By virtue of Section 10(2) of the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005, a copy of the determination notice is hereby publicised. A copy of the determination and any related statement of reasons, are also available on the Climate Ready Clyde website.
Once Covid-19 emergency measures are lifted, physical copies will also be made available for inspection by the public at all reasonable times at the reception of Exchange House, 231 George Street, Glasgow, G1 1RX and at the reception of Montrose House, 154 Montrose Crescent, Hamilton, ML3 6LB.
