Boundaries Scotland Constituency boundaries proposals - Scottish Parliament

Boundaries Scotland has published provisional proposals for new constituency boundaries for the Scottish Parliament.

You can view the boundaries and names of the constituencies proposed and compare them with the existing constituency boundaries.

The proposed changes to the South Lanarkshire area Scottish Parliamentary Constituencies are:

  • Clydesdale - the proposal changes the boundary and the name to Larkhall and Clydesdale
  • East Kilbride – the proposal changes the boundary but retains the name of East Kilbride
  • Hamilton, Larkhall, and Stonehouse  - the proposal changes the boundary and the name to Hamilton and Uddingston
  • Rutherglen - the proposal changes the boundary but retains the name of Rutherglen

Comments on the revised proposals can be made on the Boundaries Scotland interactive consultation portal.

Comments can also be made in writing to Boundaries Scotland, Thistle House, 91 Haymarket Terrace, Edinburgh EH12 5HD, or email boundaries.scot@scottishboundaries.gov.uk.

All comments should be submitted to Boundaries Scotland no later than Saturday 17 June 2023 which is the end of the statutory consultation period.
