Means enquiry reports - social services
The Social Work Units at Hamilton and Lanark Sheriff Courts give sheriffs information about offenders appearing before the courts.
If someone is appearing in court because of debt problems or not paying fines, the court may also ask us for a Means Enquiry Report that describe their financial position.
For more information see Social work services at court.
