Register of local place plans in your area
We keep a public register of all local place plans that have been submitted and accepted. This helps you see what communities across South Lanarkshire want for their areas and how plans are shaping future development.
Once we register a local place plan, we take it into account when preparing the next Local Development Plan. This means community views are considered in future planning decisions.
Current registered plans
We have registered local place plans for:
- Strathaven and Glassford (April 2025)
- Stonehouse (April 2025)
- Lanark (July 2025)
- Blackwood Kirkmuirhill and Boghead (September 2025)
- Lesmahagow (January 2026)
