To provide a sympathetic burial, cremation and memorialisation service that meets the need of all members of the community.
Conclusion
The conclusion of this initial equality impact assessment is that there are no adverse impacts on any part of the community covered by equality legislation or on community relations. The Bereavement Services function is based on an approved code of practice which has no barriers in terms of differing groups or stakeholders / customers. A Bereavement Survey will be introduced in 2008 to allow customers to comment on the service received and to identify service improvements.
