This policy sets out the guidelines for effective management of information to ensure that we achieve best value and improved service delivery for Council customers and that we meet our e-government requirements and information compliance obligations. This policy encompasses information standards and accessibility issues.
Conclusion
The conclusion of this initial equality impact assessment is that there are no adverse impacts on any part of the community covered by equalities legislation, or on community relations. For all Council publications we ensure that they can be made available in a different format or language. Through the policy the Council fosters a culture of transparency, openness and accountability in relation to information and access and promotes interaction, communication and joined-up working between all areas of the Council, our partners and the community.
