Development and provision of a programme of learning and development to ensure that elected members are equipped with the personal/organisational skills to fulfil their role within the community and to contribute effectively to the political management arrangements of the Council.
Conclusion
The purpose of this policy is to make sure that elected members are fully briefed and up to date on current legislation and practice so that they can meet the needs of all of their constituents. The conclusion of this initial equality impact assessment is that this policy has no adverse impacts on any part of the community covered by equality legislation or on community relations.
