This SPG will set out Council policy for the detailed consideration of the application of South Lanarkshire Local Plan policy on affordable housing.
Conclusion
The conclusion of this initial impact assessment is that there are no adverse impacts on any part of the community covered by the equalities legislation or on community relations. This is due to the nature of the affordable housing policy being land use based and seeking to deliver additional sites for affordable housing through interventions in the development of private sector housing. Housing allocations are not covered by this policy. Consultation on this policy will be undertaken in accordance with Council good practice.
