Aims and Objectives
The Council is reviewing the use of overtime with view to reducing overtime use and costs. Housing and Technical Resources have already made plans to reduce overtime in 2010/11. This saving is to be achieved through reviewing overtime usage within the Resource and only using it where there are no alternatives.
Conclusion
It is proposed to reduce overtime usage and use it only where no alternatives are available in order to achieve savings. Following the impact assessment undertaken, the council has reached the conclusion that the implementation of this saving will not have any significant impact on any equality group.
