Aims and Objectives
It is proposed to reduce the number of instances where we request the assistance of Sheriff Officers in the recovery of Council debts. This will result in a reduction in the number and associated costs of diligence actions.
Conclusion
It is proposed to reduce the number of instances where the Council requests the assistance of Sheriff Officers in the recovery of debt to the Council. Following the impact assessment undertaken, the Council has reached the conclusion that the implementation of this saving will not have any significant adverse impact on any equality group.
