Aims and Objectives
Some of the children within the travelling community are remaining within the Education system for longer periods of time and are more integrated within the school. It is therefore proposed to reduce the cover budget supporting the needs of travelling children.
Conclusion
The conclusion of this initial impact assessment is that there are no adverse impacts on any part of the community covered by equalities legislation, or on community relations. It should be noted that there will be a service impact on particular schools as they will have reduced additional support for cover and may have to adjust existing provision.
