Why are we consulting?
South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture (SLLC) is currently engaged in a consultation process with residents as we carry out a review of leisure and culture provision across South Lanarkshire. We are seeking feedback on the services we provide to ensure that these can continue to help maintain the health and wellbeing of the residents of South Lanarkshire. South Lanarkshire Council itself is engaged in a wider consultation around the services it provides where views are being sought on a number of savings options as it is looking to address its 2024-25 budget shortfall. One of the council’s proposals would see our budget at SLLC reduced by £1.5 million resulting in the need for there to be a reduction in our services including withdrawing from certain locations or reducing the level of service we provide in some areas.
