Aims and Objectives
This relates to the provision for children attending morning only and afternoon only ELC settings where food provision (brunch and afternoon tea respectively) is in addition to Milk and Healthy snack.
Children will still be offered snacks, brunch and afternoon tea ( where applicable). There will be a reduction in food choice, with a view to reducing the service marginally to align to hours in attendance, overall food provision and budgets available.
Any revised arrangements will be fully compliant with nutritional standards.
This is a saving of £0.150m; and includes a reduction of 1.5 FTE CER Facilities Catering staff posts.
Conclusion
The conclusion of the impact assessment is that there is no evidence that any of the groups covered by the protected characteristics would have particular needs in respect of this proposal. No negative impact is anticipated on the group covered by this protected characteristic as this is primarily a budget realignment. Children will still be provided with food as before.
