South Lanarkshire Council are currently undertaking a review of the document which sets out the councils commitment to the Housing (Scotland) Act 2006 to tackle issues relating to quality and condition of housing in the private sector. South Lanarkshire Councils 'Scheme of Assistance' describes the circumstances in which they will help owner-occupiers and private tenants carry out work on their homes and how they will provide that help.
Why are we consulting?
The consultative draft aims to provide the public and other stakeholders with the opportunity to review the proposed updates to the document as part of the review process and provide feedback.

How will findings be used?
All of the feedback received from the consultation will be considered as part of the finalisation of the policy prior to submission to Housing and Technical Resources Committee for approval.
