The South Lanarkshire Council Gypsy/Traveller Pitch Allocation Policy has been developed in accordance with the Housing (Scotland) Act 1987, as amended. The policy sets out how pitch applications are prioritised and vacant pitches at the council’s two Gypsy/Traveller sites are allocated.

Views are invited on any aspect of the draft policy document and are particularly welcome in relation to the questions detailed within this questionnaire.

How will findings be used?
The views expressed during the consultation will be taken into account in finalising the revised Gypsy/Traveller Pitch Allocation Policy, which will be presented to Housing and Technical Resources Committee in September 2026 for approval.
