Notice
South Lanarkshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 88 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and of all other enabling powers, has made the following Order:-
1. This Order may be cited as “South Lanarkshire Council, (Temporary Speed Restriction) B7078 Cairnhouses (C13) to Millbank interchange (A70) Order 2026” and shall come into operation at 9am on Monday 15 June until 6pm on Thursday 31 December 2026. The restrictions will be applied on site by the display of traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
2. Whilst this Order remains in force no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 40mph on the section of road specified in Schedule 1 by reason of road safety during construction works to form a site access.
