Consultation summary and background
We are looking for your views on the following proposals to: (1) alter the catchment area of St Mary’s Primary School, Hamilton and St Paul’s Primary School to more effectively balance pupil numbers in the area and (2) remove the optional area whereby families can choose to attend either St Peter’s Primary School or St Mary’s Primary school, Hamilton as their catchment denominational school and align the area to St Peter’s Primary School and (3) remove the optional area whereby families can choose to attend either St Peter’s Primary school or Our Lady and St Anne’s Primary school as their catchment denominational school and align the area to Our Lady and St Anne’s Primary school.
Why are we consulting?
The catchment areas for St Mary's (Hamilton), St Paul's, St Peter's and Our Lady and St Anne's Primary Schools are historic boundary arrangements that, due to changes in the housing and population distribution within the area over time, along with the planned developments in the area, should be redrawn to allow the pupil capacities to be managed appropriately and more equitably balance the pupil population across the four schools.

How will findings be used?
The findings will be used to inform the decision making process and to present to the Executive Committee of the Council for their approval.
