| Where to find us | The centre is a small site located off the main Larkhall to Stonehouse road within Strutherhill Industrial Estate. It is operated by Biffa on our behalf. |
| Opening times | April to September Monday to Friday: 8am to 7pm October to March Monday to Sunday: 8am to 5pm We close a few times each day to swap skips. During these periods no vehicles can enter. This may affect your booking time and we appreciate your patience. |
| What you can bring | There are skips for: • green waste, cardboard, scrap metal, construction waste and general waste • bottles and jars, food and drink cans, paper, textiles and books • used motor oil, gas bottles, canisters, household fire extinguishers and car batteries • electrical items including fridges, freezers, TVs, monitors and fluorescent bulbs • vapes and household batteries |
| What you cannot bring | • commercial acetylene cylinders, industrial size cylinders and large CO₂ cylinders • paint tins containing liquid or hardened paint • household or garden renovation materials - you must hire a skip or make your own disposal arrangements • waste created by tradespeople - this is not classed as household waste and must be disposed of by the tradesperson • mattresses, couches and other upholstered seating - these are no longer accepted at Larkhall or Strathaven due to new legislation • wheeled bins - these cannot be disposed of at any of our household waste and recycling centres |

| Vehicle access and on site safety | • we accept cars and vans up to 3.5t, and trailers under 2.4m x 1.2m • no tipper vehicles are allowed • staff can help if you need support • there is no pedestrian access; children and pets must stay in vehicles • smoking is not permitted anywhere on site due to fire risk and health concerns |
| Charities and business waste | • charities can dispose of recyclable materials only • business waste is accepted seven days a week and is payable directly to Biffa at the time of your visit |
