- The cemetery (also referred to as Gateside Cemetery) is located on Ayr Road and was developed in 1900 with records from that date, there was a new extension opened in 1946. Lairs can only be purchased at the time of burial within this cemetery and cremated remains can be interred within existing family lairs. Within the grounds, there is also a magnificent local war memorial.
