| Description | The cemetery opened in 1906 and incorporates the old churchyard and church. It is the most southerly cemetery in South Lanarkshire, close to the Beattock Summit. Lairs can only be purchased at the time of burial within this cemetery and can continue to provide for future generations with the re-opening of lairs and by accommodating the interment or scattering of cremated remains within existing family lairs. There are records available for the cemetery dating back to 1906 with some records for the churchyard. |
