- This area was the site of the first pre-formation church in Blantyre and it is believed that the burial grounds also dates from this period. Until the middle of the 17th century it was the resting place of the Lord Blantyres. The earliest headstone dates back to 1738. There are no lairs available within the churchyard however; cremated remains may be scattered or interred within family lairs. There are records available.
