Course informationA career in the creative industries sector could include roles within interactive media, TV, radio, computer gaming, publishing, film, animation, photography and online media. Developments in technology mean, as a new entrant to this sector, you must be multi-skilled and able to work over a variety of platforms. The Foundation Apprenticeship in Creative Digital Media presents an opportunity for senior phase students to undertake industry specific qualifications and blend an academic qualification with work based learning. By working on real media projects and products, the course will help develop your skills and experience in a range of creative and digital media disciplines, taking into account individual interests. These could include video, audio/ podcast production, social media, digital design, digital journalism. The work-based learning component of the course will involve working with external partners.

Entry requirementsEntry Requirements
• Students must have gained one or more Nat 5’s in relevant subjects by the end of S4.
• Students must be studying a minimum of 1 or more Highers in S5.
• Students must have an interest in developing greater awareness of the industry and a strong desire to work in the sector.
