Consultation summary and background
The Strategic Commissioning Plan sets out the key priorities in the ongoing development of health and social care in South Lanarkshire over the next three years and beyond. The plan is extremely important as it will focus on the support that South Lanarkshire University Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) can provide to people in local communities to assist them to maximise their health and wellbeing. The plan sets out the partnership’s key priorities and residents are urged to share their views on how health and social care services should look over the next three years. We want to hear from a wide range of patients, people who use services, and carers so they can play a part in the development of the plan.
Why are we consulting?
The Strategic Commissioning Plan 2025 - 2028 will set out South Lanarkshire Integration Joint Boards' overall strategy for health ands social care services in South Lanarkshire to 2028. In accordance with the national Planning with People guidance a comprehensive engagement and communications programme will be undertaken to ensure that the Strategic Commissioning Plan reflects the needs and aspirations of our communities. There will be a range of public and on-line engagement meetings as well as a survey.
Who are we consulting
Carers, Citizen's Panel, Community groups/organisations, Ethnic minorities, Expert stakeholders, General public (including residents of an area), Non-users of services, Older people, Parents, Carers, Guardians, People with disabilities, Service users, Staff/employees, Stakeholders, Volunteering groups/organisations and Young people.
How will findings be used?
The findings will be used alongside a strategic needs analysis to prepare the Strategic Commissioning Plan 2025 - 2028 which will be published.
