Description of serviceThe Citizens Advice Bureau is a voluntary organisation working closely within the local community to meet local people's needs, offering free and impartial advice on financial or legal problems, including debt and money advice, working out benefit entitlements, employment issues such as minimum wage and unfair dismissal, consumer advice, housing, homelessness, mortgage arrears, immigration and seeking asylum in the UK. CAB can also put you in touch with other agencies and organisations who have more specialised information and support facilities.
Opening timesMonday to Thursday 10am - 3pm; Friday 10am - 12pm by appointment only
Additional informationThere are seven outreach centres open at various times across the Clydesdale area. They are held on Monday at Coalburn One Stop Shop (3pm - 5pm); Tuesday at Douglas - St Brides Community Centre (9.30am - 11.30am); Friday at Biggar – The Gillespie Centre (3pm – 5pm); Friday (every fortnight) at Rigside Hall (12 – 2pm); First Friday of month at Crawford Hall (3pm – 5pm); Thursday at Forth Community Resource Centre (10am - 12pm); Thursday at Fountain Hall, Abbeygreen, Lesmahagow (3pm - 5pm)
Disabled accessThere is parking for disabled people and level access to the rear of the building with an accessible reception area and facilities all on the ground floor.
