Payments through salary deductions
If you are a South Lanarkshire Council employee living in South Lanarkshire, you can pay your Council Tax or rent through your salary.
Pay, change or stop Council Tax deductions from your salary
To do this, complete our Council Tax - set up, change or stop salary deductions form. You will need:
- your employee number
- Council Tax account number (you'll find this on your Council Tax bill).
Council Tax deductions from your salary are calculated based on the balance of the Council Tax account and will come off your pay every four weeks from April to December (10 payments).

Pay Housing rent from your salary
To pay rent, update your details, or stop salary deductions, contact your Housing Officer.
Rent payments are four weekly from April to March (13 payments).
