Non-domestic (business) rates payments

  • payments are due in 10 monthly instalments from May to February OR twice yearly in June and December
  • they are due on the 7th of the month if you pay monthly, or on 30 June and 30 December if you pay twice yearly 
  • they can be paid using any of the methods below

Payment methods

Please note: we can't accept payments by American Express or Electron.

Direct Debit

Payment is taken directly from your bank account on the 7th of the month. Use the form below to set up a direct debit or to update your bank details


Payment will require your 14 digit account number, account name (the name on your rates bill) and credit or debit card details


Payments can be made by credit or debit card over the phone. Contact our 24-hour payment call centre

Online banking

Payments and standing orders can be made direct to the council's bank account, sort code 83-22-26 account number 00146582. Please quote your 14 digit rates account number from your bill

Please note: We do not offer discounted payment terms through third party companies and payments should always be made direct to the council. If you are struggling to pay your bill, contact us straight away. Don't let the problem get worse.
