Clyde Walkway
Clyde Walkway
The Clyde Walkway is a 65km riverside route linking Glasgow city centre to the Falls of Clyde at New Lanark. You can use it for walking and cycling, with access points along the River Clyde and through the Clyde Valley.
Plan your visit
The walkway passes through a mix of urban areas, countryside and historic locations. It is suitable for a range of users, but some sections may be more challenging.
The route is not fully accessible for people with mobility needs. While some sections follow public rights of way, much of the path crosses private land and may include uneven surfaces, steps or narrow paths.
Closures and safety
Part of the Clyde Walkway is currently closed between Poplar Glen and Milton Lockhart due to unsafe structures.
- Do not attempt to access this section
- There is no off-road diversion available
- Repairs are being planned, but the route will remain closed until it is safe
Please check conditions and plan your journey before setting out.
