Clyde Walkway

The Clyde Walkway is a 65km riverside footpath from the centre of Glasgow to the Falls of Clyde at New Lanark.

The River Clyde and Clyde Valley are recognised worldwide as important industrial, cultural and natural features.

It hasn't been possible to make the route fully mobility accessible. Although part of the route follows a well established right of way, the majority of land over which the path has been constructed is privately owned.

Read more about the Clyde Walkway on the Scottish Wildlife Trust website and the Walk Highlands website.

The Clyde Walkway is closed between Poplar Glen and Milton Lockhart for safety reasons until further notice due to a number of unsafe structures. Access should not be attempted. There is no off-road diversion available.
