Seniors Together
Operational group
Help shape support for older people in South Lanarkshire and create Age Friendly South Lanarkshire, ‘a great place to grow older’
If you want to make a positive difference for older people in your community, you can join the Seniors Together Operational group. The group brings together older residents who want to share ideas, raise issues and help improve local support and services.
What the group does
The group meets every two months to talk about topics older people have told us matter most to them. These often include:
- staying active in later life
- health and social care services
- podiatry and other community health topics
- opportunities for learning, volunteering or social activities in retirement
Members share their own experiences and help shape what Seniors Together focuses on. Your views and suggestions can influence future activities, information sessions and the wider support we offer.
Why join
Joining the Operational group is a great way to:
- use your experience to help others
- have your voice heard
- stay connected and involved
- learn more about local services
- meet people with similar interests
You do not need any special skills or experience. You just need to care about improving life for older people in South Lanarkshire.
How to get involved
