Community Asset Transfer can be a complex process. It is vital that groups can access assistance and support to be successful. There are a number of sources of support and information, some of which are provided below.

- COSS - Community Ownership Support Services (COSS) is an independent Scottish Government organisation that provides support to organisations who are looking to complete a community asset transfer
- Community Enterprise - provides development support to social enterprises, charities, and voluntary groups to help make ideas a reality. They offer the accelerate program which provides free and bespoke support to local organisations
- Business Gateway – providing support to organisations with social economy or income generation as part of their model
- Scottish Land Fund - supporting urban and rural communities to become more resilient and sustainable through the ownership and management of land and land assets.
